Because this is also the busiest season, I usually recommend booking an early morning or late afternoon session to avoid the largest crowds.

Autumn (September – October)

Autumn is one of my personal favourites.

The forests surrounding Lake Bled turn beautiful shades of gold and orange, temperatures are pleasant, and the lake becomes much quieter after the peak tourist season.

Winter

Traditional rowing boats are not available during the winter season, so a classic boat proposal is unfortunately not possible.

However, Lake Bled is still incredibly romantic in winter, and there are many beautiful alternatives for a surprise proposal around the lakeshore or at nearby scenic viewpoints.

Weather is one of the biggest concerns for international couples.

Fortunately, rain rarely ruins a proposal.
