To get married in Slovenia you start off by submitting the necessary documents to the Marriage Registry Office of the Administrative Unit 1 – 6 months prior to the wedding date. You can empower your wedding planner to do so. You will require an interpreter at the marriage ceremony if you do not speak Slovene. All documents must be translated into Slovenian by an official translator.

In Slovenia, you can have church weddings on any day of the week. If you are looking for a civil wedding as well please be reminded that you can get married every day except on Sunday. The most popular day for the weddings in Slovenia is Saturday.
